Dumpling mix
* 1 1/4c self raising flour or 1 1/4c flour, 2 tsp Baking Powder
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 oz butter.
* 1/3c white sugar
* 1/3c milk together
* 1 tsp vanilla.
Sauce
* 1 oz of butter
* 1 1/4c brown sugar (firmly packed),
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 1/2c water
Mix all dumpling ingredients and drop spoonfuls into aforementioned syrup.
Melt sauce ingredients together in a pot on the stove Bring to the boil & drop in dumplings, then simmer gently 20 mins with the lid on...
